Hugh R. Slayden
(Of Counsel)

Mr. Slayden received his bachelor’s degree in Government from Sacramento State University and graduated with honors from Ave Maria School of Law in Ann Arbor, Michigan. During his final year of law school, Mr. Slayden served as an extern for the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan. He was admitted to the California Bar in December, 2008.

Prior to attending law school, Mr. Slayden was recognized for his public service and his dedication in both the legislative and executive branches of government. From 1998 to 2005, Mr. Slayden served as an Assistant Clerk in the Office of the Chief Clerk to the California State Assembly where his duties touched nearly every aspect of the state legislative process. In 2005, Assembly Speaker Fabian Nuñez honored Mr. Slayden during an Assembly Floor Session with an Assembly Resolution commending his service. Prior to his service in the Assembly, Mr. Slayden was commended with a Governor’s Proclamation from Governor Pete Wilson in 1997 for his service as a Special Assistant to the Secretary of the Youth and Adult Correctional Agency (currently called the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation).
